Berman has always been very involved with communities. When he was in high school he was a Vista Volunteer in Baltimore. At UCLA while he was an undergraduate he was President of the Young Democrats. Berman failed to receive Speaker of the California State Assemble to Jerry Brown, although he was dedicated to the campaign. He assumed office in 2003.

Ackerman was born in Long Island. He has two children. He was first a teacher, and following that founded a newspaper called The Flushing Tribune. Ackerman was elected for the first time into office as the New York state Senate in 1978. After this he was elected into Congress in 1983. Over time he has been re-districted although he has remained in Congress.

Gabrielle Giffords

Gabrielle Giffords started her career as an associate at Price Waterhouse in New York City. In 1996 she became president of El Campo Tire Warehouse, of which her grandfather founded. During this time she realized what it was like to work in a small business. She started her political career as legislator in the Arizona House. There she served from 2001 through 2003. She was elected Senate for Arizona in 2002, she was the youngest woman ever elected to that particular body. She assumed office in the U.S House in 2007.

In 2004 Ted Poe ran for the House against Nick Lampson, and won. He was then appointed from George W. Bush to one of the two members of the House, to go and observe firsthand the elections in Iraq. Poe was re-elected over time but he has remained, and is pushing to have his views, taken seriously because he feels that he can help.
